For the benefit of those not familiar with the geography of New Zealand. Taranaki is mid-way down the West Coast of the North Island - looking at Australia across the Tasman Sea. The main town of the region is New Plymouth and is on the northern side of Cape Egmont. The Cape, dominated by Mt Taranaki, attracts most of the swells that come up the Tasman Sea and winds from most quarters will groom the waves at one of 100's of breaks accessed from Surf Highway 45. A lot of the breaks are across some of the countries finest dairy farms. The farmers themselves are reasonably tolerant of surfers walking across their paddocks, but it would do no harm to follow the locals lead, or at least ask permission. Leave all gates as you find them

For those yearning for a taste of Taranaki, we are doing a limited run of T-shirts in most sizes and about 25 colours (except white). The front print is of photographic quality as the top image suggests. As an added bonus, you will receive a DVD of Taranaki Surf images by Daisy Day. Some local musicians have kindly some original music to accompany the 35 min play time.
Cost is $NZD 52 plus postage. That can vary of course depending on your distance from the Beach Street Surf Shop.
